The Monaco GP has seen Lando Norris grab his second win of the 2025 season with both hands, ahead of Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri.
Let’s go through every single one of the drivers’ performance throughout the weekend in the Principality, whilst giving them a grade on a scale of 1 to 10.
Monaco GP Driver Ratings: Lando Norris beats home hero Charles Leclerc
Norris 10: Finally does not crumble under pressure. Is it the start of a “new year” for him?
Leclerc 9.5: Could not do much more, just missed out on what would have been a miraculous win.
Piastri 7.5: Gets out-qualified by Norris for the first time in a while, but a podium is never a bad result.
Verstappen 8: Does his job in a tricky Red Bull.
Hamilton 7: Very far from Leclerc, but at least he gets a top-5.
Hadjar 10: Outstanding driving throughout the whole weekend. What an unbelievable form he is in.
Ocon 9.5: Same as Hadjar really. Scored brilliant points for Haas.
Lawson 9: Finally a great performance from the “Kiwi”. Hopefully it can give him confidence for the next races.
Albon 8.5: Gets into Q3 by beating Sainz once again, keeping up a good streak of results.
Sainz 7: Once again looked the “weaker” Williams driver throughout the weekend, but still gets a point on the board.

Russell N.A. (Not Assessable): His weekend was destroyed by a technical issue in qualifying, through no fault of his own.
Bearman N.A. (Not Assessable): The FIA decided to give him an outrageous 10-place grid penalty. Nothing else to say.
Colapinto 5: At least he kept it clean out of the barriers, but he was the slowest driver of the weekend. He needs to step his game up.
Bortoleto 6: He was a bit naive when Antonelli tried to pass him, but not a bad first time (in Formula 1) through the streets of Monaco.
Stroll 4: So far back from Alonso once again, but this time also impeding two drivers, Leclerc and Gasly.
Hulkenberg 6.5: Getting into Q2 with a Sauber is a good enough job.
Tsunoda 5: Missed out on Q3 again, but this time not because of a crash. Let’s see if he can bounce back in Barcelona.
Antonelli 4.5: An unnecessary crash ruined his weekend. A rookie mistake, no doubt about it, he will have to get it out of his head.
Alonso 9: A technical issue cost him the biggest shot at getting his first points of 2025. His qualifying was absolutely on point though.
Gasly 5: He reported a brake issue when running into the back of Yuki Tsunoda, but should we really trust that? Either all, not the most amazing performance ever.

Formula 1 will be back in a few days for the Spanish Grand Prix, as the last round of the triple-header will take place in Barcelona. The new technical directive about “flexi wings” will be introduced: could we see some significant changes in the pecking order? We are just going to have to wait and see.
