Bearman’s official Formula 1 debut has been nothing short of chaotic, with two crashes already—and he hasn’t even started his first race of the season.
Oliver Bearman entered the 2025 season as one of the most promising rookies, but it all seems to be falling apart. How can a driver who finished 7th in his Ferrari debut now be making reckless mistakes and miss every session?

First red flag of the season
In FP1, the season’s first collision and red flag came from none other than Bearman. The young driver lost the rear of his Haas at the high-speed Turn 10, slamming heavily into the wall—even a tire ended rolling down the track.
Because of this crash the power unit was damaged, leaving him out of FP2 despite the team’s effort to get him back on track. He also claimed another unwanted milestone: the first gearbox and power unit change of the season.
“The guys did a great job to try to get the car back out but we just ran out of time. I just had a small mistake at Turn 10, which put me a bit wide and out there it’s very bumpy and I, unfortunately, lost the car,” Bearman commented.

Another rookie mistake
Another rookie mistake
Shortly after, Bearman made the same mistake in FP3, but at least managed to avoid another accident. He went out to the track and was just in his second lap when he lost the car at Turn 11 and got stuck on the gravel, completely missing the session.
In qualifying, Oliver reported gearbox issues that sent him back to the garage and left him without a participation in a session once again. Tomorrow, he will be starting in P20.
He apologised for his performance: “I haven’t run all weekend. That’s made it tough for the guys to actually understand, as we’ve been running with one car all weekend. I can only apologise to the team for that.”
Oliver Bearman has had a tough start to his rookie F1 season, but setbacks don’t define a driver—comebacks do. As one of the most promising young stars on the grid, does he have what it takes to turn things around and prove his potential?
Good luck🐻!!
Let’s hope Bearman proves himself in the next races!
